They share important events in their lives here, such as reunions, birthdays, engagement parties, as well as important meetings that change the direction of their lives. Today, it is a well-loved, respected, and sought after place where people meet their loved ones, friends, and meet new people. We wanted to be part of the community, of the neighborhood, where we are not only known for being a gay bar but a restaurant and bistro where people come and enjoy our food, as well as our company of patrons.
We didn’t want Bistro 303 to be a well-kept secret. We even intended Bistro 303 to be the first gay bar in Kansas City, Missouri to have clear glass windows so people can look inside and see all the great food and all the fun we’re having. When we opened the bistro, we intended it to be a gay bar where people can come confidently and enjoy our drinks and gourmet food at the restaurant.
